Research
The research group of Emotion, Motivation, and Learning Theories ("Allgemeine Psychologie II: Emotion, Motivation und Lernen") studies effects of environmental cues on motivation and emotion, personality traits like implicit and explicit motives, attachment styles and their relations to interpersonal perception, motivated behavior, and social cognition.
Our main research interests are:
- Color effects on motivation
- Intimacy, autonomy, and adult attachment in close relationships
- The utilization of computer games and virtual social environments for psychological assessment
- Computational models of motivational dynamics
- Implicit motives and measures (PSE, IAT, and others)
- Social Relations Analyses of interpersonal perceptions of personality and motives
