Program

The SoDoc meeting is an annual consultation possibility for PhD students in Social Psychology. It provides an opportunitiy to present your ongoing PhD project and preliminary data, and to receive feedback from fellow graduate students and experienced teachers. The workshop will consist of small group sessions, four keynote addresses from the teachers, time for individual consultation and a question and answer session (for more information visit the shedule).

In the small group sessions, you will work in groups of up to ten with one teacher. Each participant will have 15 minutes to present his or her doctoral project followed by 15 minutes for discussion, comments and suggestions. These workshops will offer ample opportunities to get to know other PhD students and their work, to build networks, to develop new research ideas - and have a good time.

In the question and answer session, you will have opportunity to ask all four teachers questions about scientific work (e.g. ethics, publishing, or applied research) and scientific career planning (e.g. organizing a stay abroad or the Post-Doc time ahead). In the time for individual consultation, you can schedule an individual meeting with one of the teachers to discuss questions, ideas or plans.

The SoDoc meeting is supported by the Fachgruppe Sozialpsychologie (DGPs) of the German Psychological Association, the Graduate Center of LMU Munich and the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Stiftung. Members of the Fachgruppe are eligible for a discount for the workshop. The meeting is open to PhD students in Social Psychology from German-speaking countries. It also offers a limited number of places to international students. If you are enrolled in any European PhD program, please feel free to apply. Please note that the workshop language is English.

We look forward to seeing you in Munich!
