Cooperation projects/Research networks

Partner of the european STELLAR Network of Excellenceand management and coordination of the project "Building Researcher Capacity"

stellar

STELLAR is a European Network of Excellence for European research on Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL). The major research themes are „Connecting Learners“- creation of new forms of collaboration -, „Contextualisation“ - adjustment of learning technologies and culturally diverse settings - and „Orchestration“ - integration of technologies into processes of learning and instruction in the classroom. An important goal is to establish multidisciplinary sustainable relationships between the different TEL Researcher Communities. The LMU is leading the Work Package „Building Researcher Capacity“ which is targeted towards advancement of early-stage and mid-career TEL researchers. At the same time, a platform for excellent European research is to be founded. Three Instruments will bee implemented: „Incubator Grants“ are mobility scholarships that allow early career researchers to visit other European labs. The second instrument, “Theme Teams”, support mid-career researchers to jointly address emerging research topics. The third instrument is the „STELLAR Alpine Rendez-Vous“. This is a co-located series of workshops targeted at bringing together different research communities to advance a European research agenda on Technology Enhanced Learning.
