Please fixate in the center and attend to the upper of both peripheral lines. Is it jumping further into the periphery? 

 

FIXATION

Actually, it isn't....

The display corresponds, for stimuli appearing to the left of fixation, to one of the conditions of Experiment 2A of Deubel, Koch, & Bridgeman (Vision research, 2010): "First (lower) moved", Blank=200ms, and SOA=70ms. For stimuli appearing to the right the display shows the corresponding condition of Experiment 2B
