01.07.2025
Collaborative Research Centre SHARP will be funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG TRR419). Several chair members are involved as principal investigators.
Through personalized, simulation-based learning, students can be better prepared for the complex demands of professional practice. “We investigate the conditions and mechanisms that support the acquisition of complex skills through AI-supported simulations,” explains Prof. Dr. Frank Fischer (LMU), speaker of the CRC. “The knowledge we generate in SHARP holds great potential for innovations in university teaching and evidence-based educational practice,” emphasizes deputy speaker Prof. Dr. Tina Seidel (TUM).
SHARP is the first Collaborative Research Center in educational research and aims to establish important foundations for innovation in higher education. The CRC brings together expertise from medicine, biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics, education, and psychology. In addition to LMU and TUM, the University of Augsburg and the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre are also involved.
