FEEL Lab

The FEEL Lab is part of the lab network “ASPEKT” at the Department of Psychology.

FEEL stands for "Forschung zur Echtzeit Emotionserkennung im Lernkontext", translating into "Research on the Real-Time Recognition of Emotions in Learning".

Available Measures

The FEEL Lab comprises various physiopsychological measures to assess emotional states during learning and achievement situations.

We use the software iMotions to design studies, as well as to integrate and analyse the collected data.

The measures currently available in the lab are:

  • Heart rate
  • Skin conductance
  • Eye tracking
  • Facial emotion expression analysis (also post-processing possible for existing videos)

Research Collaborations

If you are interested in using the lab for a research project, please send us an e-mail (Miriam.Wuensch@psy.lmu.de) and we are looking forward to discussing your ideas!

Current Projects

In case you want to participate in any of our current studies, follow the links below or contact us via e-mail!

  • Test Experience Study (Miriam Wünsch): Using physiological and self-report measures, we explore how test-takers experience testing situations. More information on how to participate will be available soon.
  • ENTE Study (Miriam Wünsch & Franziska Eckerskorn): Using physiological and self-report measures, we explore how pre-service teachers experience mathematics testing situations.
