Cross-cultural differences and similarities

Cross-cultural differences and similarities

Many social psychological findings stem from a Western perspective and assume global applicability. However, our social life is inherently embedded in its cultural context. Therefore, we need to systematically examine how these contexts influence social psychological concepts. In addition to acknowledging cross-cultural differences, we are also interested in identifying cross-cultural similarities. For us, critical reflection on the methods of cross-cultural research and the comparability of psychological measures is also highly relevant.
