  • Short Biography:

Melissa Dilara Özsoy studied primary education (1st state examination, B.Ed.) and qualified as an educational counsellor (1st state examination, M.Ed.). She then completed a Master's program in Research on Learning and Instruction: An Interdisciplinary Program (M.A.) at the University of Augsburg with a research stay at the University of California Berkeley at the School of Education. During her studies she worked as a Research Assistant at the Department of Psychology and later as a Research Associate at the Department of Medical Education at the University of Augsburg. Since 2023 she has been working as a Research Associate in the research group of Prof. Dr. Frank Fischer at the Chair of Empirical Education and Educational Psychology at the LMU, where she is doing her PhD under his supervision. Her research interests focus on simulation-based learning and teaching and learning with digital media, particularly in the context of teacher professional learning and the assessment of media-related competences.
